Halloween-Cat Playing Violin M16

This is an adorable cat playing the violin–haven’t we all seen that? (Don’t answer that.)

The stamp is from Picket Fence Studios. The stamp set has a sentiment that says “cat plays fiddle to the silver moon,” but I totally forgot to use it on the card. I may add it at a later date.

In order to have the cat as black as possible, I used black pigment ink. The leaves and pumpkin are stamps from my stash. They are colored with alcohol ink.

I added some polychrome pencil shading in very tones of gray at the base of the cat and pumpkin.

The Halloween Greetings sentiment was also from my stash. It is stamped with Versamark embossing ink, sprinkled with Ranger Orange Tinsel embossing powder, and heat set.

I slightly dragged the sides of the card (with extra emphasis on the corners) in Versamark embossing ink, then sprinkled it with WOW California Gold embossing powder. Since this particular WOW is not a fine detail powder, it gives the edges a little more raised edge.

Finally, the stamped card was cut slightly smaller to fit onto the decorative paper which was previously attached to the A2 orange folded card.
