Not sure if this image made it, but I was trying to create a cat that was afraid of a tiny spider without realizing what he’s (the cat) about to run into–like some of my childhood nightmares! Anyway, . . .
I can’t remember where the cat is from, but I’ll post it later when I find it. The cat is colored with Prisma Colored Pencils with a dot of white gel pen in the eyes to simulate that he’s looking back to get away from this tiny spider hanging down.
The background is shaded with dye ink and blending brushes to give a feeling of storminess.
I used my MISTI stamping tool to stamp the large spider with black pigment ink, then embossed it with regular clear embossing powder, heat set, and then re-stamped, re-embossed, and re-heat set it. As a final touch, I dropped a little Ranger Glossy Accents onto the body of the spider to give that area even more dimension.
