Thoughtful-Under the Weather M41

41-thoughtful

Lots of these first cards are literally that–first tries at many new techniques. This is another trial run at using water colors, but this time I used brush pens in which the color is already loaded into the brush. This is set of  Arteza Brush Pens, and I like using them.

41-thoughtful

My Arteza Brush Pen set is about 7-8 years old, bought when we lived in the desert, sat in storage for over a year in a state with all 4 seasons, while we restored and rebuilt a true fixer-upper old farm house. Miraculously, most all the brushes still worked well.

The acrylic stamp is one image but turned in multiple ways on the water color cardstock to create a different visual affect.

41-thoughtful--feeling under the weather

The water color paper was cut slightly smaller than the Craft Consortium decorative paper which is glued to an A2 size white, folded card. After adhering the water color image, I glued pre-made purple flat-backed embellishments randomly onto the card. Many of these embellishments come pre-glued, but I’ve had some come off before so I always use a dot of liquid glue for extra security.
